At Pearman Social Work Consultancy, fees are transparent and agreed in advance. All costs, including mileage charges, will be confirmed in writing before an appointment is arranged.
 

Court of Protection (COP3) Assessment
 

£550
 

Includes:

✓ Completion of the COP3 form

✓ Return of completed documentation

✓ Clear and legally robust assessment
 

The fee remains payable irrespective of the outcome of the assessment, including where the individual is assessed as having capacity.

✓ Property and Financial Affairs assessment

✓ Health and Welfare assessment

✓ Completion of relevant COP3 documentation

✓ Return of completed documentation

✓ Clear and legally robust assessment

 

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Certificate Provider Service

£300 per assessment appointment 
 

We provide independent Certificate Provider services for:
 

✓ Property and Financial Affairs LPAs

✓ Health and Welfare LPAs

✓ Capacity to create a Lasting Power of Attorney

✓ Independent and legally robust assessments completed in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005

The fee is £300 per assessment appointment and applies whether the instruction relates to a Property and Financial Affairs LPA, a Health and Welfare LPA, or both completed during the same appointment.
 

COP3 and LPA Combined Benefit
 

Where an individual is assessed as having mental capacity following a COP3 assessment and wishes to make a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), Pearman Social Work Consultancy may complete the Certificate Provider section of the LPA where requested and appropriate.
 

✓ No additional fee will be charged for this service.
 

LPA to COP3 Conversion
 

Where an individual is assessed as lacking capacity to make an LPA and a Court of Protection (COP3) assessment is subsequently required, the fee already paid for the LPA assessment will be deducted from the standard COP3 fee.

Mileage
 

✓ Charged at £0.55 per mile from Hockley, Essex.

✓ Mileage costs are calculated and agreed before an appointment is confirmed

✓ No additional mileage charges will be applied without prior agreement
 

Payment Terms
 

✓ Payment is required in full no later than 48 hours before the appointment

✓ Appointments are not confirmed until payment has been received

✓ A signed copy of the Terms & Conditions must be returned before the appointment can proceed

✓ Fees will be confirmed in writing prior to booking
 

Additional Work
 

Where work is requested outside the scope of the original instruction, additional fees may apply.
 

✓ Additional written reports: £45 per A4 page

✓ Attendance at meetings, consultations and professional discussions: £65 per hour

✓ Court attendance: £65 per hour

✓ Travel time to and from meetings, court attendance or other additional appointments: £65 per hour

✓ Mileage for additional travel: Charged at £0.55 per mile from Hockley, Essex.

✓ Urgent work outside agreed timescales: £65 per hour
 

Any additional work and associated fees will be discussed and agreed with the instructing party in advance wherever reasonably possible.
 

Pearman Social Work Consultancy reserves the right to review charges for exceptionally complex or extensive work, which will always be discussed and agreed prior to commencement.
